Dr Patrick (George) Watson joins PRISM as
Micro/Nano Fabrication Lab Director
PRISM is pleased to announce that Dr. Patrick (George) Watson, previously with Alcatel-Lucent Bell Laboratories, has joined PRISM as the Director of the Micro/Nano Fabrication Laboratory. Dr. Watson has been working with Bell Labs and with start-up companies in the area since 1981. He is an expert in silicon MEMS and III-V optoelectronic devices. He has led research and development groups in two companies on both internally and externally funded programs, and taught a course at NJIT on the thermodynamics of materials. Dr. Watson has a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Cornell University. He lives with his wife, daughter, and son in Avon-by-the-Sea.
Dr. Watson will assume the responsibilities formerly held by Dr. Helena Gleskova, who is now on the faculty of the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
